Job summary

Fulcrum Construction in Atlanta, GA seeks a Construction Project Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for projects, including AP/AR, subcontractor payments, and owner draws, collaborating with Project Managers.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction accounting and a 4-year degree in accounting/finance, with strong MS Office skills; Timberline/Sage is a plus. Hybrid work is available, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of AR/AP or construction accounting experience.
• Four-year degree in accounting/finance or relevant work experience.
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and solve accounting problems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relay information clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel).
• Timberline/Sage experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Audit subcontractor pay requests and vendor invoices; process payments.
• Ensure timely payments per contract terms.
• Request and verify documentation from vendors.
• Review waivers required for billing.
• Generate and record AIA billings and deliver to owners.
• Keep PMs and management informed about project finances.
• Distribute job cost reports to internal staff.
• Enter job cost corrections as directed.
• Maintain open payables and substantiated balances.
• Assist with audits, filing, scanning, or other admin tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
