Job summary

McCownGordon Construction is seeking an accounting professional to support multiple construction projects. This role serves as the primary accounting and finance contact for project management from startup through final closeout, requiring initiative and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include project setup and budget setup, project cash flow analysis, journal entries, trade partner pay apps in Procore, and assisting with audits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Experience with project accounting and cost control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages project setup and budget setup with PM and estimating.
• Provides analytical support on project status and cashflow.
• Processes journal entries in ERP for project costs.
• Manages trade partner pay apps and subcontractor billings.
• Supports audits with required documents.
