Balfour Beatty Construction seeks a Project Accountant to support construction projects from start-up to closeout in our Richmond office. This role serves as the liaison between the job site and the finance department, ensuring all accounting procedures are followed on-site.

The position emphasizes project accounting, subcontractor management, and administration, with opportunities to advance leadership and value-management analysis capabilities within a dynamic construction team.

Qualifications

• Associates in Accounting or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in basic accounting principles.
• Proficient using a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Handle project accounting responsibilities for construction projects from start-up to closeout.
• Liaise between job site and finance department to ensure SOP compliance.
• Manage contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings, payroll/cost/budget reports.
