Job summary

The Architect of the Capitol seeks a General Engineer (Construction Management) to provide design and project management support for Senate Office Buildings (SOB) facilities in Washington, DC. The position requires meeting OPM qualification standards and coordinating with engineering disciplines.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent) or an equivalent combination with professional registration or FE/PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in professional engineering, ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Combination of Education and Experience with registration (EI/EIT/PE) or FE/licensure considered.
• Specialized experience aligned with engineering, construction management, and facilities in historic buildings.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and project management support for SOB facilities.
• Coordinate with Architecture/Engineering teams on project delivery.
• Serve as COTR or equivalent for assigned contracts.
• Plan, conduct, and document site surveys and inspections.
