Qualifications

• 3+ years purchasing experience in heavy civil/construction.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Experience reviewing vendor quotes, negotiating pricing, and issuing purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials and services for heavy civil projects.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes based on price, quality, delivery, and performance.
• Negotiate purchase orders and supply contracts to achieve favorable terms.
• Coordinate with project teams to review material requirements and schedules.
• Expedite purchases and monitor deliveries to meet timelines.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate payments with accounting and vendors.
• Track material costs and procurement activities to support budgets.
• Maintain procurement records and supporting documentation.
• Assist in evaluating new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support startup activities by securing long-lead items.
