Job description

CROWNCO INC. is an established and growing general contractor in the Residential Development industry since 2008 (CSLB Lic. 911414). We strive to create builder solutions through quality workmanship and superior customer service. Crownco Inc. has locations throughout Southern California and we are looking to add more to our existing teams. Currently, we are searching for motivated, reliable, and professional individuals to fill the Prep & Detail positions in the Orange County area (Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Whittier, and more!).

Job Summary

The Production team member is responsible for preparing and detailing new homes or multi-family units under the guidance of onsite superintendents or assistant superintendents. The team member will assist with daily production functions including manual labor, operation of basic hand or power tools, and coordinating with staff to ensure the final preparation of a home site is complete.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist on-site Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent in preparing new homes for homeowner walk-throughs.
  2. Communicate daily with customer service representatives, superintendents, and production managers.
  3. Perform site maintenance such as erosion control, sweeping, trash removal, and landscape maintenance as needed.
  4. Assist with minor demolition or tear-downs.
  5. Caulking around trim, baseboards, cabinets, casings, and fixtures.
  6. Complete all items on punch lists or checklists provided by the builder and Crownco Inc.
  7. Inspect, identify, and document damaged or missing items in or around new homes.
  8. Perform painting, basic drywall patching, and texturing (a plus).
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Strong communication skills.
  3. Some knowledge of residential construction.
  4. Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  5. Minimum 1-year hands-on construction experience.
  6. Experience in detailing new homes & multi-family units is a plus.
  7. Detail-oriented.
  8. Reliable and dependable with good time management and punctuality.
  9. Ability to follow directions from supervisors.
  10. Team player committed to following Crownco's Production ABC procedures.
  11. Experience in project management, quality control, and proficient clerical/computer skills.
  12. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  13. Reliable transportation to and from work.
  14. Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
  15. Authorized to work in the U.S. (Crownco participates in E-Verify).
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  2. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, squat, reach, and move for 6+ hours.
  3. Ability to lift, move, and carry items over 50 lbs.
  4. Finger dexterity and mobility to walk on uneven terrain.
