Job summary

Beckenhauer Construction seeks a Construction Project Manager to own projects from planning through completion, leading crews and enforcing standards on site. You will manage contracts, resolve issues swiftly, and keep projects on schedule and budget with a disciplined, compliant approach.

The role calls for sharp prioritization, strong communication, and the ability to navigate shifting demands while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, P6, Procore, iAuditor and Bluebeam preferred.
• Strong understanding of drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with owner contracts and subcontract agreements, including scope, terms, responsibilities, and compliance requirements.
• Strong administrative skills in billing procedures, submittals, changes in the scope of work, claim/notification provisions/procedures, insurance, etc.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and physical presence at assigned workplace.

Responsibilities

• Pre-construction leadership: review designs, support estimating, coordinate permits and setup for a smooth start.
• Schedule & cost management: build and manage project schedule, monitor costs, project projections and issues.
• Documentation control: manage submittals, RFIs, changes, and pay applications with clear communication.
• Quality, safety & communication: lead meetings with owners and subcontractors, maintain safety and quality standards.
• Project closeout: coordinate punch lists, inspections, final financials, and turnover documents.
