Job summary

ARCO in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Project Manager passionate about construction to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate design teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality while delivering on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and 2–5 years of construction management or design experience, proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, and a track record of collaborating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years' of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading ground up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Track project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
