Job summary

Ray & Son Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Construction Plumber to join our commercial team in Valdosta and Nashville GA.

The role focuses on installing new plumbing and mechanical systems, reading drawings and specs, and coordinating crew layout for up to 6 workers. You will demo existing systems when needed and ensure quality work on upgrades and site renovations. This full-time position offers overtime, training with Carrier, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in commercial plumbing & mechanical trades.
• Knowledge of installing sanitary, grease waste, venting, domestic water systems and fixtures.
• Plumbing license and OSHA 10 are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install new plumbing and mechanical systems; custom piping tasks.
• Demo existing plumbing systems and assist with renovations as needed.
• Read drawings/specs and help plan crew layout for up to 6 workers.

Position: Construction Plumber - Experienced

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Hours: Full Time, 40 + hours per week + available overtime

Locations: Valdosta and Nashville GA

What you will be doing?

• New plumbing and mechanical systems installation. Our work mostly consists of piping of varying sizes and types. Depending on your experience, you don't need to know how to do it all, but you do need to be willing to help or grow wherever necessary.
• Demo work of existing plumbing systems when necessary. Sometimes our work is renovations.
• Top candidates may be required to competently read drawings/specs/schematics and provide crew management, including crew layout for up to 6 people.

What We Are Looking For:

• Worked in the commercial plumbing & mechanical trade for 4 years or more
• knowledgeable with the installation of sanitary, grease waste, indirect/special waste, storm, venting systems, domestic water, plumbing fixtures, and equipment
• Medical gas certification is a plus, not a requirement
• Can install different piping systems using various materials such as service-weight cast iron, PVC sanitary & domestic water systems, acid waste, no-hub cast iron, sweat & pro-press copper systems, groove piping systems of copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel & fusion piping systems
• Can lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Owns all hand tools required to install all the above plumbing systems (power tools provided by R&S)
• Willing to work on lifts or scaffolds as needed
• Encourages the "next generation" and easily shares their knowledge and skills
• Is organized and clean, allowing an efficient work area
• Reliable transportation

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

• A valid plumbing license (tradesman, journeyman, or master plumber)
• A boiler class 3 certification
• OSHA 10 training certification or higher.

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
