Kleinfelder, Inc. is seeking a Field Construction Materials Testing Technician Level I/II for locations in Hayward, Fresno, Stockton, CA. The role involves field sampling, testing, and reporting on construction materials with travel across Northern California.

The position requires 1–3 years of testing experience and multiple field certifications (Caltrans, ACI, NICET), with additional preferred certs such as NACE or NDT. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

• Move safely over uneven ground, stairs, and ladders at field sites and labs.
• Work outdoors in variable weather, following safety protocols at sites and in labs.
• Travel throughout Northern California as required.

Field Construction Materials Testing Technician Level I/II – Locations: Hayward, Fresno, Stockton, CA

Responsibilities

• Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).
• Operate heavy equipment as necessary (ultrasonic NDT machine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).
• Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.
• Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required.
• Travel throughout Northern California as required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of construction materials testing experience (Technician I plus).
• At least four field-oriented certifications (Caltrans, ACI, NICET).
• Preferred certifications: Caltrans, ACI, NICET, NACE, NDT.
