Three Notch Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to join our growing team. The role focuses on field observations, materials testing, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance on diverse projects.

You will read plans, perform tests, report findings, and communicate with contractors and project engineers. Requires a high school diploma, 2–5 years of experience, and valid drivers license; certifications such as ACI, NICET, ICC or

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of construction or construction materials testing experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I, NICET, ICC, DOT are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, geotechnical reports, project specifications, and building codes.
• Perform field observations, testing, and inspections on various construction projects.
• Monitor contractor activities and document conformance with plans and standards.
• Prepare field reports, test summaries, and inspection documentation.
• Communicate results and recommendations to contractors, project managers, and engineers.
