Job summary

System One is seeking an Engineering Technician for construction materials testing in the Kansas City area. You will perform field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and steel across active projects.

You’ll conduct quality‑control inspections, collect samples, document results, and follow project specs and safety requirements. Travel to project sites will be required, and reliable, professional conduct is essential.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Interest or experience in construction materials testing.
Ability to work reliably in field and laboratory environments.
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
Dependable, punctual, and professional.
Ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

Perform field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and steel.
Conduct construction quality‑control inspections at active project sites.
Collect samples, take measurements, and accurately document test results.
Follow established testing procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.
Communicate professionally with contractors, project representatives, and team members.
Maintain organized, accurate, and timely field and laboratory records.
Travel to project sites throughout the Kansas City area as assigned.
