Valparaiso, FL: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking Construction Materials Testing Technician to support field testing and inspection activities on construction projects. Essential Duties:

• Perform sampling and testing of asphalt, concrete, and soils.
• Conduct field inspections of various construction activities.
• Monitor pile driving, paving, earthwork, and other construction operations.
• Perform testing and inspection activities in accordance with established procedures and project requirements.
• Accurately document field observations and testing activities.
• Work around active construction sites and coordinate with field personnel as needed.
• Assist with the training and mentoring of lower-level technicians as experience is gained.

Requirements/Skills:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to push a wheelbarrow loaded with concrete across uneven and rutted construction site surfaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height.
• Ability to climb in and out of the back of a pickup truck and shallow trenches.
• Ability to use shovels and picks for digging and sampling.
• Ability to walk and maneuver around formed areas containing rebar and other construction‑site obstructions before and during concrete placement.
• Ability to bend and squat to lift materials or navigate objects on construction sites.
• Ability to safely use various hand tools, including saws, hammers, and wrenches.
