Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring in accordance with project specs.

The role requires reliable transportation, ability to pass background checks and drug screening, and willingness for on-call hours; candidates with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction materials testing experience is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen and background check.
• TWIC card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, casting cylinders for compressive strength).
• Perform soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Conduct Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests as applicable.
• Perform asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Monitor piles during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow company safety procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch and onsite clients daily, and relay information to management.

About the job Construction Materials Testing Technician

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking applicants for the Construction Materials Testing Technician role in Pasadena, TX. This role involves performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring—to ensure compliance with project specifications. Candidates with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field and laboratory tests such as:

• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all time

• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis


• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management

REQUIREMENTS

• +1 year of experience in Construction Materials Testing.


• Must have dependable transportation, a truck is preferable as there is an incentive program to use it for work


• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen


• Must be able to pass a background check


• TWIC card (preferred)


• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment


• Capable of maintaining an \"On Call\" type schedule and must be willing to work obscure hours
