We are seeking a Construction Materials Tester to join our Lowell, AR team, performing field inspections, materials testing, and laboratory analysis to ensure project quality and compliance. The role requires careful data recording, effective communication with the team, and adherence to safety standards, including OSHA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in construction/materials testing preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with teamwork ability.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use industry-standard software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of construction projects following established protocols.
• Perform materials testing (soil compaction, concrete slump, asphalt density, aggregate properties).
• Collect samples from job sites and transport to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
• Perform laboratory tests on concrete, soil, and asphalt using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Record and analyze test data accurately, ensuring quality control.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, results, and recommendations or corrective actions.

We are looking for a Construction Materials Testing to join our Lowell, AR team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of construction projects, following established protocols and procedures.
• Perform materials testing, including but not limited to soil compaction, concrete slump, asphalt density, and aggregate properties.
• Collect samples from job sites and transport them to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
• Perform laboratory tests on construction materials, such as concrete, soil, and asphalt, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Record and analyze test data accurately and meticulously, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed reports, documenting findings, test results, and any necessary recommendations or corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that construction projects meet specified standards and requirements.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Continuously expand your knowledge and skills in construction materials testing and inspection techniques through training and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper handling and storage of testing equipment and materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications or vocational training in construction, materials testing, or related fields is preferred.
• Previous experience in the construction industry or materials testing is highly desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in using industry-standard software and applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and contractors.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in recording and analyzing data.
• Valid and clean driver's license, as regular travel to job sites is required.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and physical examination as per company policy.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds at waist level and up to 50 pounds to shoulder level.
• Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and to navigate tight spaces and climb ladders or scaffolding as necessary.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
