Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager for our Fayetteville field services team in North Carolina. You will lead project delivery, coordinate with senior engineers and field staff, and drive on-time results while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering/geology, 2+ years of relevant experience, and a PE/PG license in the applicable state. Strong client communication and budget management are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• PE or PG license in the operating state.
• Strong marketing and client-relations abilities.
• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).
• Understanding of heavy construction safety, practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction materials testing (CMT) projects and manage field staff.
• Review daily reports, coordinate with project teams, and resolve issues.
• Manage budgets, prepare invoices and pay applications, and assist collection efforts.
• Prepare proposals and change orders; lead client meetings and reporting.
• Mentor junior staff and support team development.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering and Management / Materials Science Engineering / Architectural Engineering / Geology

PE or PG license

2+ years of relevant experience
