Job summary

Timmons Group is seeking a full-time Construction Materials Testing Project Manager for the Geotechnical and Construction Services Group in our Richmond, VA office. You will oversee CMT projects, ensure quality, profitability, and timely delivery while coordinating staff and communicating with clients.

Requirements include a minimum bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, 10+ years in CMT with 5+ years in project management, and Virginia PE license or eligible within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is preferred.
• At least 10 years in construction materials testing and 5 years in CMT project management.
• Virginia Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manages traditional materials testing and special inspections projects.
• Communicates with clients, contractors, senior engineering, and technicians on construction issues.
• Reviews field reports.
• Writes summary reports.
• Evaluates site conditions with input from senior staff.
• Resolves field issues.
• Mentors junior staff.
• Prepares proposals.
• Assists with presentations for new services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
