Job summary

Intertek PSI in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Project Manager for Construction Materials Testing. You will lead project execution, coordinate field and laboratory testing, manage budgets, and maintain client relationships within the A/E/C sector.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CM/Civil/Geotechnical engineering, 2+ years’ T&M/PM experience, strong communication, and the ability to work overtime as needed. A valid driver’s license and knowledge of codes are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Civil Eng., or Geotechnical Eng. or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience in Construction Materials Testing and/or PM
• Able to read and interpret construction plans and specs
• Valid driver’s license with reliable record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with building codes and regulations
• PMCP completion within 6 months of hire
• Ability to lead and supervise others
• Willing to work off shift and overtime

Responsibilities

• Lead project meetings and manage client relationships
• Prepare and review advanced proposals
• Conduct contract review and negotiation
• Manage project budget and change orders
• Prepare and submit invoices
• Review and sign test reports
• Oversee project close-out activities
• Ensure field testing and inspections are scheduled and performed correctly
• Supervise field and/or lab personnel
• Train staff on testing/inspection methods (ASTM, ACI, etc.)
• Assist with lab, field and administrative duties as needed
