Job summary

Gecfla in Orlando, FL is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician – entry level or experienced, full time. You will perform basic field soil and concrete tests on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications and report data accurately.

Responsibilities include driving to job sites, operating testing equipment, reading plans, and coordinating with field supervisor. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required; no prior experience is necessary,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 30–50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to work outdoors and nights.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• No experience required; background in construction is a plus.

Construction Materials Testing Field Technician – Entry Level OR Experienced (Full Time)

Job Description:

As a CMT Field Technician, you will perform basic field soil and concrete tests on construction sites to ensure that construction materials are installed in accordance with project specifications. Applicants need to be reliable and have a good work ethic.

• Drive to job sites and conduct soils, concrete and other construction materials testing. Return samples to office for testing. Report data in an accurate, complete, timely and understandable fashion.
• Communicate with field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required.
• Ensure that project requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements and company policies or procedures.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment and motor vehicle.
• Read and interpret construction plans.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 30 to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to work nights
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• No experience required however background in construction is a plus
