We are seeking an enthusiastic Construction Materials Technician to join our team in Dallas, TX. The technician will conduct field or laboratory testing, sampling, and inspections.

Responsibilities
  1. Communicate with dispatcher/coordinator to meet priorities and deadlines in both field and laboratory settings.
  2. Coordinate with contractors, engineer/architect representatives, and project leads on-site regarding testing, sampling, or inspection of construction materials and procedures.
  3. Follow safety protocols for the safe use, storage, and maintenance of nuclear gauges and equipment.
  4. Report project progress and delays to supervisors and dispatchers.
  5. Submit accurate testing and inspection reports daily.
  6. Drive company vehicles safely to job sites.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma, G.E.D., or relevant industry certification such as ACI certifications, TxDOT SB series, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites, including rough terrain.
  • If uncertified, obtain industry certifications within six months, supported by the firm.
  • Complete Troxler or equivalent radiation safety course; TTCP certification preferred or obtainable within six months.
  • Proficiency in basic math and reading comprehension.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Safety-minded with a commitment to safety procedures.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Employees must be able to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 70 pounds. Work may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals, noise, dust, and outdoor weather conditions. Proper safety equipment must be used at all times.

This role may require irregular hours based on client needs.
