Job summary

Raba Kistner, Inc. seeks Construction Materials Technicians I–III to join our team in Brownsville or McAllen, TX.

The role performs field or laboratory testing, sampling and inspection of construction materials, coordinating with dispatchers and site leads to meet project deadlines. Required: High School Diploma or GED; for trainee, no experience; otherwise at least 6 months in materials testing and one industry certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• For Construction Materials Technician I: no experience necessary; for higher levels, at least 6 months in materials testing/inspection and at least 1 industry certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with dispatcher/coordinator to prioritize field and lab work and meet deadlines.
• Meet with supervisors/engineer representatives on sites to coordinate testing and inspection of materials.
• Follow safety protocols and properly use and maintain field equipment and gauges.
• Communicate project progress and delays to supervisor and dispatcher.
• Submit accurate testing/inspection reports daily.
