What You'll Do

ECS Limited offers a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager II to join our Fredericksburg field services team and advance in a dynamic work environment. In this role, you'll manage various projects and collaborate with project teams from senior engineers to field staff to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review, collaboration with project teams, resolving technical and administrative issues, and training field staff.
  2. Manage project budgets, prepare invoices, pay applications, and assist with collection efforts.
  3. Prepare proposals and change orders; host or attend project meetings with clients and follow up on reports.
  4. Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing.
  5. Mentor junior staff and support overall team development.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology. Note: Construction Management and certain Technology degrees may not be considered.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant full-time experience.
  3. Valid driver's license and insurance.
  4. PE or PG license in the state of employment.
  5. Strong marketing skills for establishing and maintaining client relationships.
  6. Excellent communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
  7. Understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
  8. Knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM standards.
  9. Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
