Job summary

This role monitors materials used in construction, performs field and lab tests, and prepares daily reports, often under moderate supervision. High school diploma required; strong communication, a valid driving record, and ability to lift

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree in physical sciences and/or math preferred.
• Ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing.
• Good driving record
• Perform heavy lifting of 50 or more pounds
• Work in outdoor environments
• One year of testing experience in soil, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt preferred (but not required)

• Perform routine field and laboratory tests and inspections to verify conformity with construction plans and specifications
• Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractors
