Job summary

TTL, a steadily growing engineering design firm, seeks a construction materials field technician for our Tuscaloosa, AL office. No experience? No problem.

We’ll start you at $18/hour, or more if you’ve been in the field, and we’ll even pay for certifications to boost your paycheck and advance your career. The role involves monitoring, observing, and sampling materials used in construction; performing routine field and laboratory tests to verify conformity with plans; preparing daily reports; and

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree with an emphasis in physical sciences and/or math preferred
• Ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing
• Good driving record
• Perform heavy lifting of 50 or more pounds
• Work in outdoor environments
• One year of testing experience in soil, concrete, earthwork and asphalt preferred (but not required)
