Job summary

ECS Limited seeks an experienced leader to manage our construction materials testing group in our Phoenix office. As the Construction Materials Department Manager, you will oversee field and lab operations, deliver project results, and drive quality control and safety compliance.

You will lead CMT engineers, project managers and technicians, guide proposals and reports, manage the department budget, and contribute to business development through client engagement and staff development.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of related engineering experience, including conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, field QA testing, site grading and supervising CMT
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
• Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
• Military qualifications: E-6/E-7/O-2/O-3 if education requirements are met

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

• 6-8+ years of related engineering experience, including conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, field quality assurance testing, site grading and supervising construction materials testing
• Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills
• Strong technical knowledge of testing procedures and specifications
• Experience with budgets, forecasts and financial management

Required Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university

Preferred Education and Certifications:

• Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
