Princeton Technical Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Material Laboratory Technician to join our accredited materials testing laboratory. The technician will perform standardized tests on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests on construction materials using ASTM, AASHTO, and IDOT testing procedures.
• Prepare and test concrete cylinders, soil samples, asphalt cores, and aggregates.
• Accurately record test results, maintain detailed documentation, and enter data into project databases.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment according to quality assurance protocols.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Support field operations as needed with sampling and pick-up/delivery of materials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training in construction materials or related field .
• Prior experience in a construction materials testing laboratory or similar environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO test methods and procedures .
• Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Certifications ( but not required):

• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I
• IDOT Level I or II Certification
