Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician in South Plainfield, NJ. You will perform field observations, sampling, and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials on land development and construction projects.
The role requires reliable transportation, ability to lift 60-80 lbs, outdoor work in various conditions, and effective communication with project teams. Training, safety adherence, and use of MS Office are expected.

We offer a starting rate of $25.00/hr. with no experience. Already a seasoned technician? We offer a start up to $30/hr. or more based on experience.

As a Construction Materials Testing Technician in the South Plainfield, NJ office, you will directly play an integral role in our organization. As part of this team, you will work independently and in collaboration with our knowledgeable, dynamic staff and on a wide variety of land development and construction projects. The key responsibilities will include:

Hiring preference will be given to experienced technicians with verifiable certifications such as ACI, ICC, NICET, NJ DCA, etc.
