Flowtec Construction in Chicago seeks a Construction Manager to join its fast-growing, fully integrated real estate team. You will oversee projects from design through turnover, coordinating with general contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants to drive successful execution, with exposure to the developer perspective throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience.
• Experience managing ground-up residential, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, or commercial construction projects.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, project controls, and construction management.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Interested in moving from a GC into a Developer/Owner environment.
• Long-term career growth within an expanding real estate organization.

Responsabilités

• Oversee projects throughout design, preconstruction, construction, and turnover.
• Manage and coordinate third-party General Contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Participate in site evaluations, feasibility reviews, budgeting, and early project planning.
• Assist with contractor bidding, procurement, and GMP contract negotiations.
• Coordinate permitting, utility planning, and design team activities.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, change orders, owner draws, and overall project performance.
• Oversee QA/QC, construction progress, and final turnover.
• Provide regular project updates to internal leadership.
• Conduct occasional day trips to project sites as needed.
