Job summary

APSI Construction Management is seeking a Construction Manager/Staff Architect (CM-A) to support VA NRMs on an active medical campus in Montgomery, AL. The role blends construction management with project oversight, scheduling, design reviews, and commissioning.

The CM-A will assist the Contracting Officer and COR in planning, budgeting, scheduling, code compliance, testing, and quality control across multiple projects over a five-year span, including path to project success and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in design and construction.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.
• Ability to understand local state and federal jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management support during design and construction.
• Assist the Contracting Officer and COR in project management, planning, scheduling, design reviews, code compliance.
• Monitor and manage budget, cost accounting, and change orders.
• Conduct regular progress meetings and document issues.
• Perform testing and commissioning as needed.
