Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) division seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead complex data center projects with a mix of on-site and remote management across multiple locations. You’ll drive planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in construction management, a relevant degree, and strong stakeholder coordination. A company vehicle and paid overtime are offered as part of the package.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 10 years in construction management or a Bachelor’s with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record; ability to travel to project sites.
  • Willingness to work across multiple sites with on-site and remote project coordination.
  • Geographic proximity within 75 miles of VA/NC/GA sites is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle delivery from planning and budgeting to scheduling, resources, and risk management.
  • Review technical requirements and scope during handoff to ensure clarity and feasibility.
  • Track milestones and deliverables using project management tools to keep on-site work on schedule.
  • Facilitate meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders across teams and clients.
  • Coordinate with other trades to maximize efficiency and minimize disruption on site.
  • Oversee closeout activities including punch lists, warranty handoff, and transition to ownership.
  • Be the primary on-site contact for EESS activities and promote safety initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance through cost control and change orders; manage risk mitigations.

Job description

Eaton’s Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) Division is hiring! We're seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Manager to lead complex data center projects. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind project execution—ensuring every phase runs smoothly, safely, and successfully. You’ll collaborate across teams, manage resources, and serve as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. This role will include a mixture of on-site and remote project management across multiple locations.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $135,000 a year. This role offers a company vehicle and paid overtime!

What you’ll do
  • Lead full-cycle project delivery—from planning and budgeting to scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management
  • Conduct thorough reviews of technical requirements, scope of work, and timelines during project handoff
  • Leverage project management tools and software to track milestones, manage deliverables, and ensure on-site execution stays on course
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings, maintaining clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders
  • Coordinate Eaton’s work around other trades to maximize efficiency and minimize disruption
  • Manage project closeout activities including punch lists, issue resolution, warranty handoff, and transition to ownership
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for all EESS-related activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Partner with District Operations to promote and enforce safety initiatives across all job sites
  • Oversee financial performance through cost control, change order management, and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with commercial operations, sales engineers, and technical support teams to align client expectations with project deliverables
  • Implement strategic program-level changes and initiatives from the Strategic Operations team
  • Mentor and guide team members, sharing expertise in project management and operational excellence to build team capability
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum 10 years progressive experience in construction management, site supervision or project coordination, including at least 5 years leading electrical, industrial or general construction projects OR Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant construction management experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role.
  • This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • 5+ years electrical field services experience
  • 5+ years managing electrical construction or commissioning projects as a project manager or construction manager, preferably data center projects
  • PMP or Commissioning Agent Certification
  • Proficiency in project management and construction industry software packages (Microsoft Project, ProCore, etc.)
  • OSHA 10 & 30 hour general industry or construction certification.
