Job summary

Carollo Engineers in the United States is seeking an experienced project leader for a WWTF system improvements initiative. You will oversee budgets, safety, and quality on site while coordinating with the contractor, client, and design team to deliver value-engineered solutions.

The role requires a long track record in large wastewater facilities, strong communication, and proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong background in construction management and financials.
• Experience leading large wastewater facility projects ($30M+).
• Solid communication with clients, contractors and project teams.
• Proficiency with safety standards and on-site oversight.
• Knowledge of Procore or Bentley PW/EADoc is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a WWTF System Improvements Project.
• Responsible for budget monitoring, construction quality and safety on the project site
• Prepares monthly contract status reports, budget reviews, amendment requests and negotiations
• Responsible for working as a team with the contractor, client, field team and designer
• Responsible for review of work, rejection of defective work, inspections and testing
• Daily report writing
• Responsible for preparation of meeting agendas and portions of proposals

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 10+ years experience including a lead role in $30 million or greater wastewater treatment facility project
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety course and other construction safety training
• Thorough understanding of construction management processes and in-depth financial understanding of construction management
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and lead engineer/project team, and deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and be extremely organized
• Working knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Working knowledge and understanding of construction methods, standards, specifications and plans
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Strong computer and internet skills
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related program
• Proficient in Document Management Systems (i.e. Procore, Bentley PW/EADoc, etc.)
• OSHA 30-hour safety course
• Certified Construction Manager or ability to obtain certification

Compensation Range

An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
