Overview

We are seeking a Construction Manager/Resident Project Representative to help oversee and manage a WWTF System Improvements Project.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for budget monitoring, construction quality, and safety on the project site.
• Prepares monthly contract status reports, budget reviews, amendment requests, and negotiations.
• Responsible for working as a team with the contractor, client, field team, and designer.
• Responsible for review of work, rejection of defective work, inspections, and testing.
• Daily report writing.
• Responsible for preparation of meeting agendas and portions of proposals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience including a lead role in a $30 million or greater wastewater treatment facility project.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety course and other construction safety training.
• Thorough understanding of construction management processes and in-depth financial understanding of construction management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and the lead engineer/project team, and deliver high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints.
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and be extremely organized.
• Working knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Working knowledge and understanding of construction methods, standards, specifications, and plans.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and internet skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related program.
• Proficient in Document Management Systems (i.e. Procore, Bentley PW/EADoc, etc.).
• OSHA 30-hour safety course.
• Certified Construction Manager or ability to obtain certification.
