Job summary

Air Products is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead field construction for major capital projects across North America, including hydrogen, ammonia, air separation, and process gas facilities. You will oversee subcontractors, uphold safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance, and collaborate with the Project team to drive successful outcomes.

This 100% travel position includes per diem and a monthly trip home.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of heavy industry construction experience.
• Proven track record in safety, quality, contract management, planning, and progress tracking.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Cross-functional experience in EPC, construction estimating, and project controls is a plus.
• Experience with P6, ProCore, and/or Go Completions is a plus.
• Experience with Air Separation Units or Steam-Methane Reformers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate activities of multiple subcontractors.
• Manage construction contracts to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Drive and enforce a progressive safety program with zero incidents.
• Clear execution obstacles and develop corrective actions as needed.
• Report and forecast progress using construction productivity tools.

You will be responsible for the successful execution of construction contracts, ensuring exceptional performance in safety, quality, schedule, and cost management.This is a 100% travel position with per diem. It includes a monthly trip home. Typical assignments are 1-2 years at a single location; however, the candidate should anticipate occasional, short-term assignments, weeks or months, between major projects. Residence on the Gulf Coast may be more convenient, but the candidate may live anywhere. Current needs are in the Texas, Louisiana, and Los Angeles areas, but assignments are not guaranteed. Candidates must be flexible regarding location.
