Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Construction Manager, NA in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data center construction projects across North America. You will manage projects from initial design through commissioning, collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position requires hands-on leadership in both technical and operational aspects, driving construction activities while balancing cost, sustainability, and long-term operational needs. You will oversee civil, structural, architectural, and MEP components, ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements. This role provides autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to make high-impact decisions in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects, including scope, schedule, budget, permitting, design, contractor coordination, and commissioning.
  • Develop and oversee RFPs, project budgets, and financial reporting, including forecasting and cash-flow analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, operators, design teams, and clients to align project goals with operational and business requirements.
  • Supervise design-build contractors and coordinate work with subject matter experts to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Implement process improvements, document lessons learned, and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with construction codes, safety standards, and mission-critical operational requirements.
  • Support hand-off of completed facilities and project documentation to operations teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing construction projects, with preference for data center or mission-critical facilities (7+ years preferred).
  • Expertise in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget oversight, scheduling, and contractor management.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, make informed decisions, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, with potential for increased travel as needed.
Preferred qualifications
  • Data center construction experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating business cases and leading projects from concept to approval.
  • Strong familiarity with sustainability, operational efficiency, and value engineering practices.
