Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Construction Manager to lead site construction activities for power transmission, substation, HVDC, and grid-integration projects. You will work with project managers, engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver on schedule, within budget, and to high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include developing execution plans, monitoring progress and costs, and coordinating mobilization, logistics, and handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of construction management experience in power/utility/substation/EPC projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Familiarity with OSHA, environmental regulations, and industry safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Develop and implement construction execution plans, schedules, and resource plans.
• Monitor progress, costs, and schedule performance; take corrective actions as needed.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction personnel for quality and timely delivery.
• Review drawings, specs, and contracts for constructability and execution challenges.
• Coordinate site mobilization, logistics, temporary facilities, and material management.
• Manage change orders, risk mitigation, and project documentation.
• Support commissioning and closeout activities for successful handover.
