Job summary

Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee and inspect the construction of district projects such as parks, facilities, and public works infrastructure. You will report to the District Engineer and coordinate schedules, scope, and costs with contractors to ensure compliance with plans and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in civil engineering, construction management, or closely related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of construction management, inspection, or related experience.
• Proficient in reviewing and understanding engineering drawings, site plans, and layouts.
• Valid Texas driver’s license (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities and coordinate sequencing of multiple projects.
• Perform regular field inspections to verify compliance with plans, specs, and codes.
• Oversee contracts, submittals, pay applications, and change orders for Board approval.
• Review and ensure implementation of construction documents and plans; recommend revisions as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Provide guidance on utilities, parks, and facility projects and stay current with industry standards.
• Maintain safety practices on active construction sites.
