Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Night Shift team on a hyperscale data center project in Saint Francisville, LA. You will develop and manage project scopes, budgets, contracts, and schedules to meet client objectives, coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.

The role requires experience in data center construction, strong contract management, and leadership of field teams. You will review RFIs, submittals, and changes to ensure timely, quality delivery and close

Qualifications

• Experience managing data center or Life Science/Pharma construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, building systems and contract management.
• Demonstrated Construction Management expertise across civil, structural and architectural domains.
• Experience leading contractors and superintendents for project scope and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Host weekly meetings with subcontractors and record notes; distribute after meetings.
• Ensure subcontractor has latest drawings and specifications.
• Review RFIs and submittals for completeness prior to submission.
• Monitor RFIs/submittals returns; expedite with engineering as needed.
• Visit subcontractor shops to expedite material delivery and verify progress.
• Coordinate material delivery sequencing with CM and field superintendent.
• Weekly schedule monitoring; escalate issues to ACM and Subcontracts Admin.
• Evaluate changes with Subcontracts Admin; process into Unifier.
• Review & approve pay applications before ACM finalizes.

Job Summary

As a Construction Manager, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award‑winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design‑build project delivery. You'll be assigned to the Night Shift team supporting the hyperscale data center project in Saint Francisville, LA. By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you’ll help our teams achieve our client’s objectives. Your keen ability to multi‑task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast‑paced environment and solve complex problems to ensure the soaring success of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Hosts weekly meetings with the Subcontractor and takes suitable notes. Aligns with Subcontract Administrator to ensure all items captured accurately. Distributes MM after each meeting to attendees.
• Ensures that Subcontractor has latest version of all technical documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Reviews all RFIs & submittals assuring completeness prior to Subcontractor submission.
• Monitors return of RFIs and submittals from the Subcontractor, and expedites assistance from engineering disciplines as required.
• Visits Subcontractor fabrication shops as required to expedite material deliveries and verify work in progress.
• Works with Construction Management and field superintendent to ensure material deliveries are sequenced and coordinated.
• Monitors Subcontractor’s schedule on a weekly basis and escalates any issues to the ACM and Subcontracts Administrator, works closely with the field superintendents, and project controls to track progress measurements.
• In conjunction with the Subcontracts Administrator, evaluates potential changes, including identified but not yet priced and unit rate to IFC pricing. Coordinates with the Subcontractor, Subcontracts Administrator, and project cost control to ensure changes get processed promptly into Unifier.
• Reviews, coordinates any changes required, and approves pay applications before they get presented to the ACM for final approval.

Requirements

• Experience in managing data center construction projects or projects related to Life Science and/or Pharmaceutical Production Facility Construction.
• Strong working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of Construction Management in Civil, Structural and Architectural.
• Experience leading contractors and Superintendents for current scope, engineering information, and document drawings/specifications for construction execution.
• Ability to manage CSA scopes of work from the initial Bid Phase, through Execution, turnover, and close out of the Subcontract.
• Experience in monitoring project budgets to ensure project requirements are met.

Preferred Experience

• Ability to work with Engineering and Subcontracting to develop scopes of work for CSA related bid packages.
• Liaise between Subcontracts Department and Engineering assuring that all Engineering requirements are met as they relate to the Bid Phase process along with any changes / additions to the Bid Phase documents.
• Working closely with Subcontracts Administration, Project Controls, Accounting, Quality and Turn over to ensure efficient close out of the Subcontract.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $103,100.00 to $141,800.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
