Job summary

Meritage Homes is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee homebuilding across Southern California communities including Anaheim, Santa Ana and Tustin.

You will manage construction workflows, coordinate subcontractors, review blueprints, and ensure adherence to building codes and Meritage quality standards. Strong safety leadership and customer-service orientation are essential as you work with homeowners and city inspectors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree in Construction Management preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years in new home construction with supervisory or project oversight.
• Knowledge of homebuilding systems, ROC, and building codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect all construction aspects.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage homebuilding construction through all phases to deliver quality homes.
• Schedule subcontractors and delivery dates for materials.
• Ensure all building codes and Meritage Home standards are met.
• Conduct walk-through inspections with homeowners.
• Enforce safety standards on all job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and subdivision.
• Interact daily with departments, subcontractors, customers, and city inspectors.
• Attend Construction and monthly/quarterly meetings.
