Job description

The Construction Manager II is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a construction project, including planning, organizing, and monitoring the progress of the team. The Construction Manager II will ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards by coordinating subcontractors, workers, and materials. The Construction Manager II must maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations. They will also communicate project status updates to clients and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Plan and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  2. Lead and supervise construction workers and subcontractors on site, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
  3. Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  4. Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular site inspections, and address safety concerns.
  5. Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and construction crew.
  6. Prepare and maintain project documents including reports, change orders, permits, and invoices.
  7. Act as liaison between the company, field personnel, and customers.
  8. Troubleshoot and coordinate issues with trades/clients with minimal supervision.
  9. Maintain job records for management control.
  10. Ensure compliance with carrier specifications, permits, inspections, and code requirements.
  11. Review and compile inspection, safety, and resource usage reports.
  12. Attend meetings, manage project schedules, and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
  13. Perform quality control and ensure subcontractor scope adherence.
  14. Ensure safety compliance, inspect tools and rigging gear, and report incidents.
  15. Report daily activities and identify conflicts for resolution.
  16. Address customer complaints and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
  17. Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  18. Identify and complete punch lists.
  19. Perform related physical and recordkeeping tasks.
  20. Manage material and equipment delivery and coordination.
  21. Provide status reports to management.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of construction milestones and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and operational knowledge.
  • People skills for management and interaction at various levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree or equivalent, or 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience, especially in wireless/telecom services.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean record, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Experience with specific tools and safety training (e.g., RF Awareness, OSHA30, First Aid/CPR).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly work at a computer; frequently stand, handle tools, reach, climb, stoop, crouch, and walk. Occasionally lift over 100 pounds and travel as needed.
