Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager I to support capital projects at the University of Iowa.

The role oversees multiple utility infrastructure projects from development through construction and closeout, coordinating contractors and stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget. You will perform site visits, maintain project records and KPIs, and promote a strong safety culture in collaboration with the ENGIE ES&E program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Engineering, or related field; or 4 years of relevant experience in construction.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting construction projects or utilities delivery.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, field operations, and safety practices.
• Experience maintaining project documentation, reports, schedules, KPIs, and records.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility infrastructure projects from development to closeout and handover.
• Conduct site visits to support safe, efficient project execution.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners.
• Promote safety and compliance with ENGIE Health, Safety, and Environment program.
• Track progress, safety metrics, schedules, and regulatory requirements with KPIs.
• Review change orders, RFIs, submittals, notices, and supplier agreements.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders and vendors to align schedules and scope.
• Develop and maintain construction management plans with Project Managers.
