Responsibilities
  1. Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
  2. Oversee all construction activities, specific to assigned discipline, on assigned project
  3. Construct the project and work with the management team to maximize the profit of the project
  4. Monitor and oversee construction activities and personnel within the delivery timelines, including development plans and training requirements
  5. Keep Construction Manager II/III informed of overall construction activity progress & performance along with monitoring and review of construction key performance indicators
  6. Cooperate with all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times
  7. Act as a role model for the company’s vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with the company’s ways of working while encouraging others to do so as well
  8. Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behavior when interacting with colleagues
  9. Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorized disclosure, modification or destruction
  10. Build, Supervise & lead teams
  11. Communicate effectively with crew leads on goals and expectations
  12. Ensure the Foremen manage crews and subcontractors to provide a safe work environment
  13. Manage the Foremen with the CM III to facilitate an environment for all Foremen and crews to work in a respectful, constructive, and positive environment
  14. Manage the construction package elements of the procurement process
  15. Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget and other established metrics
  16. Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients
  17. Work with the CM III to ensure Client expectations are being met, along with the scope of work
  18. Build and maintain a relationship with Client Site Representatives to ensure open communication and trust
  19. Ensure all work in assigned discipline is done to the company Safety and Quality standards
  20. Be proactive in equipment management, preventing equipment damages and planning of equipment resources
  21. Complete personnel administrative tasks in a timely manner; expectation documents, performance management, task planners, employee change forms, etc.
  22. Work closely with the Field Operations team on resource management to ensure the right people are on the project at the right times to drive project profitability
  23. Support Business Development, Estimating and Preconstruction efforts as needed
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management
  • Union experience is advantageous but not required

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety, working towards MasTec’s Zero Injury principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, technical procedures, contracts, or regulations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for reports, presentations, and interactions with clients and team members
  • Strong analytical skills for calculating figures and interpreting instructions
Working Environment
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
  • Potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, heat, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise
