Job summary

Vanir Construction Management, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager to provide planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule.

May supervise office/field administrative staff, project/field engineers, assistant project/construction managers, and other assigned staff. The position involves acting as a primary liaison for owner and partners, developing project procedures, managing data and approvals, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of experience as a construction manager is required.
• Experience with secure healthcare environments, electronic security systems, anti-ligature design standards, and patient safety requirements.
• Knowledge of project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, controls, and delivery methods.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office; familiarity with project-related systems is required.
• Proficiency with document control systems; new construction and modernization experience preferred.
• Certified Construction Manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact and liaison for owner and partner entities for contracts, design, systems and deliverables.
• Develops project procedures and documentation; consults with Owner on design and construction contracts.
• Uses contracts, drawings, estimates and specifications to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Manages data, information, communications and approvals among owner, architects, engineers and other parties.
• Represents owner and project parties in meetings and public forums.
• Leads project controls, cost, performance, logistics, systems and closeout activities.
• Leads in project meetings, documentation, administration and tracking.
• Coordinates and monitors construction management staff, contractors, engineers and related entities.
• Manages bid phase services as required by the client.
