About the role

DESRI is seeking talented and highly motivated individuals to join its team as senior managers or managers of construction, title commensurate with experience, for the eastern and western geographies. The managers will lead the construction of renewable energy projects in an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging working environment.

What you'll do

You’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing the strategic direction of construction projects. You’ll provide leadership and guidance to construction professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time, in line with safety standards, and at the appropriate quality. You’ll regularly liaise with management and various teams to ensure the appropriate updates and escalations are taking place. You’ll also be tasked with reviewing proposals for pre-construction and construction, contract exhibits, and change orders. Your other responsibilities will include developing and implementing new construction strategies, maintaining, and establishing relationships with internal and external project stakeholders, mentoring staff, and managing project timelines from pre-construction to close.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have an undergraduate degree, an impressive background of academic and professional achievement, and 5 to 10 years of construction experience.
• A previous or existing focus on renewables construction, and an awareness of technical, commercial, regulatory, and operational issues, is required.
• We’re looking for intellectually curious individuals with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, keen analytical abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
• Experience in wind and solar farm construction, along with time spent in the renewable energy sector, is highly preferred
