Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead field execution for complex electrical construction projects in mission-critical environments. This role will oversee onsite operations from planning through commissioning and turnover, with accountability for safety, quality, productivity, schedule performance, and team leadership.

A key part of the position is leading an onsite advanced manufacturing and prefabrication operation, integrating offsite-style production, kitting, logistics, and field installation into a coordinated delivery model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily electrical construction activities, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with project management to translate project plans, drawings, schedules, procurement needs, and work packages into effective field execution.
  • Manage sequencing, manpower, materials, equipment, access, and logistics to maintain progress against schedule and production goals.
  • Identify field constraints, design conflicts, material shortages, and productivity issues early; implement practical recovery plans when needed.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, commissioning teams, other trades, and BIM/VDC personnel to resolve issues before they affect installation.
  • Direct the onsite manufacturing/prefabrication operation, including production planning, staffing, material flow, quality controls, kitting, and delivery to the point of installation.
  • Expand opportunities for prefabrication, modularization, and standardized assemblies to improve safety, quality, labor efficiency, and schedule certainty.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, NFPA 70E, client, and site-specific requirements.
  • Drive QA/QC, testing, commissioning readiness, punch-list completion, turnover documentation, and closeout activities.
  • Provide clear reporting on field progress, manpower, productivity, schedule risks, material status, safety, quality, and project constraints.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience leading electrical construction operations on large, complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of field execution, workforce management, scheduling, materials, logistics, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Experience working with BIM/VDC coordination, drawings, specifications, work packages, and constructability reviews.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices, quality requirements, testing, and commissioning processes.
  • Background supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, or similarly schedule-driven construction environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with prefabrication, modular construction, manufacturing, or kitting operations is highly valued.
  • A hands-on, accountable leadership style with the ability to anticipate issues, make sound field decisions, and build high-performing teams.
