Ascendion is seeking a Senior Construction Manager (MEP) for a South Hill, VA onsite role. You will lead field execution across data center projects, coordinating engineers, GC teams, and commissioning agents to ensure on-time delivery and zero-energy readiness.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in ground-up construction, heavy MEP experience, and a strong focus on documentation, change control, and safety in highly compliant environments.

Qualifikationen

• Mission-critical construction delivery experience; data center experience preferred.
• Mechanical & Electrical/MEP expertise.
• Strong field documentation discipline in high-compliance environments.
• Working knowledge of commissioning/ turnover lifecycle and construction change controls.
• 7+ years in ground-up construction.
• Experience with underground electrical plumbing.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily field execution: coordination, progress verification, risk removal.
• Support look-ahead planning and schedule health; identify critical-path risks and mitigation actions.
• Coordinate GC, trades, and commissioning agent to align work sequencing.
• Review RFIs, submittals, MOPs and work plans for completeness and compliance.
• Enable commissioning readiness: installation verification, defect tracking, IST inputs.
• Prepare standardized field reports, photo logs, progress notes, issue documentation.
• Ensure hazardous energy control and safety with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.

About the Role

Job Title: Senior Construction Manager (MEP)

Location: South Hill, VA (onsite 5 days)

Responsibilities

• Daily execution oversight: field coordination, progress verification, and constraint removal.
• Schedule health support: look-ahead planning, critical-path risk identification, and mitigation actions.
• Contractor coordination: alignment across GC, trades, and commissioning agent (work sequencing and readiness)
• Technical workflow support: RFI/submittal/MOP/work plan review for completeness and compliance.
• Commissioning readiness enablement: installation verification, deficiency tracking, and IST readiness inputs.
• Standardized field reporting package: daily reports, photo logs, progress notes, and issue/escalation documentation.
• Hazardous energy control and safety: work procedure review, risk assessments, and Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) execution to verify MEP systems in a zero-energy state.

Required skills

Salary and Other Compensation
