Job summary

Jedson Engineering seeks a Construction Manager to oversee EPCM projects with pharma/biotech scope, including site leadership in Puerto Rico. You will ensure schedules, budgets, safety, and client satisfaction while coordinating contractors and internal teams.

The role requires 20+ years in capital construction and 10+ years as a senior construction manager on regulated-industry projects >$500M TIC, with English fluency and Spanish preferred for PR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related.
• 20+ years of large-scale capital construction experience; 10+ years as a senior construction manager on pharma/biotech projects >$500M TIC.
• Track record leading multi-discipline, multi-contractor field organizations through full lifecycle.
• Demonstrated HSE leadership; OSHA 30 minimum, CSP or equivalent preferred.
• PMP and AGC/CMAA membership preferred.
• English required; Spanish strongly preferred for Puerto Rico site leadership.

• Authorize/approve project personnel transactions and change requests.
• Review/approve monthly contractor billing and ensure alignment with work completed.

• Interpret and implement safety programs.
• Estimate task costs and coordinate labor/materials/subcontractors.
• Turn over completed project to the Client.

Job Summary

The Construction Manager ensures projects run according to schedule, meeting financial objectives and Jedson’s core goals while exercising independent judgement. Skillfully navigates the wide array of tasks and responsibilities required to safely and successfully deliver projects while providing the highest level of customer service. Coordinates pricing and proposals with contractors on projects. Monitors construction timeline and ensures that contractors are maintaining schedule and budgets. Review/approve monthly contractor billing to ensure request aligns with work completed to date. Closes out projects at completion, ensuring all final invoices and contractual commitments have been processed.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Organize, lead and direct all construction-related activities related to EPCM projects to ensure the project is safely constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule; meets accounting requirements; and is completed to quality standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned projects.
• Authorize/approve all project personnel transactions (hiring, transfers, wages, etc.), purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.
• Review/approve monthly contractor billing to ensure request aligns with work completed to date.
• Primary client contact for all project-field activities.
• Ensure construction is in compliance with design specifications.
• Maintain official project log and documentation files.
• Interpret and implement safety programs.
• Estimate task/project costs and work duration, coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors, etc.
• Turn over completed project to the Client.

Site experience- manufacturing and/or engineering experience in support of pharmaceutical, biotech, or API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) networks .
