Job summary

JPI in the Greater San Diego Area is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee safety, quality, and financial operations across 2-3 active sites per plan. The role requires coordinating staffing, reporting, and project milestones while ensuring adherence to JPI standards.

The candidate will manage subcontractor performance, data validation, and closeout activities, including AHJ coordination, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a business or professional setting.
• Proven experience in an executive support role or similar position.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in using business software and tools, including MS Office and project management applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety meetings and inspections per the JPI program.
• Ensure staffing aligns with project plans and core responsibilities.
• Complete daily field reports accurately.
• Report and resolve safety incidents.
• Lead weekly PSM and OAC meetings and resolve constraints.
• Maintain accurate schedule snapshots and milestones.
• Address subcontractor non-performance and coordinate resolutions.
• Ensure quality and completeness of subcontract work per standards.
• Validate data and align pay apps with milestone progress (<24 hours).
• Coordinate pre-pay apps with OSC and supervise field training.
• Manage Workday receipts and coordinate budgets with the Commercial Lead.
• Present sites per JPI standards and oversee turnover QC inspections.
• Close out 3rd party inspections and handle AHJ declarations with Milestone Lead.
