Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Construction Manager for a long-term EPC power project near Midland, TX. You will lead field teams, coordinate with discipline supervisors and the project manager to meet budgets, schedules and quality targets.

Travel and on-site coordination will be routine as the project advances through design, construction and commissioning. The ideal candidate has 20–25 years of substations or related facility construction experience, a strong HV electrical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management preferred.
• 20–25 years of substations or related facility construction experience.
• Strong technical background in HV electrical facilities and subsystems.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, safety, cost control, schedule, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Works with discipline supervisors and project manager to ensure crews and subcontractors meet contracting requirements, budgets, forecasts and schedules.
• Integrates safety into project plans and reinforces safety policies.
• Supervises construction to ensure productivity and efficient use of materials and equipment.
• Reviews subcontractor work packages and assists with scope development and issue resolution.
• Conducts regular progress evaluations against goals and timelines.
• Leads daily site coordination meetings with all subcontractors.
• Ensures environmental, regulatory and safety requirements are adhered to during construction.

About this Role

QISG is hiring a Construction Manager to support a $250M, 286MW power generation EPC project.

Position Highlights:

• Long-term project assignment near Midland, TX
• Initial 2-month training period will be in Eagle Mountain, UT
• This is a full-time, permanent QISG position with opportunities to transition to future projects after completion
• Must be willing to workon project site
• Travel and lodging expenses covered by QISG

What You'll Do

• Works with discipline supervisors and project manager to assure crews and subcontractors are working efficiently to meet contracting requirements, budgets, forecasts and schedules
• Integrates safety into project plans, reinforces safety policies, supports safety trainings and corrects unsafe conditions
• Supervises total construction effort to ensure productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment and contractual performance goals are being met
• Review subcontractor work packages
• Assists discipline supervisors with project scope development, questions and problem resolutions
• Systematically and regularly appraises and evaluates progress against goals, timelines and objectives
• Conducts daily site coordination meetings with all subcontractors
• Ensures project environmental, regulatory and safety requirements are adhered to during construction activities
• Assists start-up team during the start-up, commissioning and testing of the facility
• Performs any other duties assigned
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in construction management is preferred
• Relevant career experience in the construction industry and exposure to EPC projects in the electric power delivery sector is preferred
• 20 - 25 years of substation or related facility construction experience with a track record of achievement on large complex projects
• Strong technical background in the installation and operation of high voltage electrical facilities and associated subsystems
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), craft agreements, jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, schedule and safety
• Must be capable of performing physical activities such as lifting to 20 pounds at times, bending, standing, walking, lifting, stretching, climbing, and crawling in both on-site and office environments
• Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions and uneven terrain
