Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking a Construction Manager in Memphis to lead suspended access projects from planning through execution. You will oversee field operations, ensure safety and quality, manage labor and materials, and serve as a key partner to customers and internal teams.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive construction experience, and a commitment to operational excellence, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7am to 4pm based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or related degree preferred.
• At least 5 years in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT safety regulations.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and project specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and jobsite activities.
• Conduct site inspections and reviews of drawings to support planning.
• Develop project schedules and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor job costs, manage change orders, and identify profitability opportunities.
• Perform equipment inspections and troubleshoot field issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Build and maintain customer relationships through professional communication and service.
• Support sales efforts with technical expertise and evaluations.
• Train and supervise field personnel to ensure safety and procedures.

Construction Manager

Position Summary

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing suspended access projects from planning through execution. This role leads field operations, ensures safety and quality standards are met, manages labor and materials, and serves as a key partner to customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive construction industry ecperience and a commitment to operational excellence.

Monday-Friday 7am-4pm (based on business need)

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company, manufacturer, and regulatory requirements.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and jobsite activities.
• Conduct site inspections, field measurements, and reviews of engineered drawings to support project planning and execution.
• Develop project schedules and ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Monitor job costs, manage change orders, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Perform equipment inspections and troubleshoot field issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and operational records.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication and exceptional service.
• Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise, site evaluations, and project recommendations.
• Train, mentor, and supervise field personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, or degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and safety regulations. (Ex. OSHA, DOT)
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and project specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at significant heights, including high-rise construction projects.
• Ability to work in demanding construction environments and adapt to changing project needs.
