Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Irvine, California, seeks an experienced construction manager specializing in water/wastewater treatment facilities. Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate daily record of construction site activity and produce required reports on progress, safety, quality, permit compliance, schedule and budget status.
  • Review construction submittals including shop drawings and pay applications.
  • Prepare, issue and negotiate Change Orders.
  • Review and analyze baseline and updated construction schedules.
  • Coordinate with other project team members including the Owner, Engineer, and Contractor.
  • Work individually or supporting more-senior staff on larger, more complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in construction management related to water or wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.
  • Experience in Water/Wastewater construction.
  • Basic knowledge of CPM scheduling (Primavera P6) and cost estimating.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
